Creating & Tracking Custom Events
Capture the actions that matter

Events let you measure the actions that matter beyond page views: add to cart, start checkout, sign up, complete a purchase. The more you track, the better Cromojo’s insights and funnels become.
What an event looks like
Open the Events tab to see your tracked events and how many fields each one captures. For a store you’ll often see view_product, add_to_cart, begin_checkout, and purchase.

Create an event
Open the Events tab and click Create event.
Name it with a clear, consistent name (for example, add_to_cart).
Define the fields to capture with it (for example, product, value, currency).
Save, then send the event from your site or tag manager when the action happens.

Put events to work
Once events are flowing in, you can:
Turn them into conversion goals (see Setting Up Conversions).
Use them as funnel steps (see Building Conversion Funnels).
Best practices
Use lowercase, snake_case names and keep them consistent across your site.
Track the few actions that map to business value, not everything.
Send purchase events server-side so ad-blockers don’t miss them.
