First-party tracking is live 🎉

Track through your own domain

You can now run Cromojo tracking through a subdomain you control, such as track.yourwebsite.com.

This helps reduce tracking gaps caused by ad blockers that block third-party tracking domains, giving you a more complete picture of visitor activity, conversions and revenue.

Get started

Open your site settings, configure your tracking domain and follow the DNS setup instructions. Once your domain is ready, update your website’s tracking snippet.

Available on Pro plans and above.

Automatic event tracking: forms, searches and clicks, with no setup

Hey Cromojers,

Until now, tracking a form or a "Call us" link meant writing an event, adding code to your site and hoping it fired. Not any more. Cromojo now records the most common actions on your website for you, as soon as the tracking script is installed.

⚡ What's tracked automatically

  • Forms: when a visitor starts a form, and when they submit it

  • Email and phone links: every click on a mailto:, tel: or sms: link

  • Site search: what visitors type into your search box

  • Missing pages: visitors landing on a 404 page

  • Outbound links and file downloads

No code, no event to create, and none of it uses your custom event slots.

📋 See it all in Analytics > Events

New tabs for Forms, Searches, Missing pages and Links show exactly what happened over the last 7 days. The Forms tab even shows how many people who start a form actually finish it, so you can spot the one that's leaking leads.

🎯 Turn any of them into a goal

Click Use as goal next to an event, and narrow it with Only count to a single form, link or search term. "Contact sales form submitted" becomes a conversion in two clicks.

🔒 Privacy stays the same

Cromojo never reads what visitors type into your forms, only that a form was started or sent. Email addresses in links are hidden, and visitors who ask not to be tracked aren't recorded.

Want to label your forms, use your own search parameter, or mark your 404 page? Everything is in our help article: Automatic event tracking.

As always, if something looks off, contact support@cromojo.com.

New

Google visits no longer show as Direct in revenue dashboards

On sites using revenue mode, some visits coming from Google were being filed under "Direct" in the Channels card, and google.com was missing from Sources. A single visit can be stored in several parts, and the later parts carry no referrer — so Channels and Sources were reading from the wrong part.

What changed:

  • Channels and Sources now use the page where the visit started, matching how goals mode already worked.

  • The Channels and Sources filters use the same rule, so a filter always matches what the cards display.

No action needed — your dashboards will be more accurate from now on.
